Deze huiselijke buurtbistro ligt prachtig aan een lommerijk pleintje in de Oosterpoort. Dat je hier heerlijk kunt tafelen heeft ook de Michelin gids ontdekt. Sinds 2022 mag de bistro zich met Michelin’s predikaat ‘Bib Gourmand’ tooien. Dat zijn restaurants waar je de beste prijs-kwaliteitverhoudingen kunt verwachten, aldus de Franse culinaire gids. De Grote Frederik serveert iedere acht weken een nieuw en klein seizoensmenu, waarbij je kunt kiezen uit twee voor-, tussen-, hoofd- en nagerechten. Een van de twee is altijd vegetarisch. Gastvrouw Marjon komt met mooie wijnvoorstellen bij je drie, vier of vijfgangenmenu die echtgenoot en chef Arnejan voor je bereidt.
